Our daughter started full time nursery when she was 8 months old and our initial worry and guilt disappeared as soon as we met Megan, Hannah and Lydia. They’re the warmest, friendliest bunch and have a genuine care for our daughter and the rest of the children. Bonnie has never had an issue leaving us in the morning and this is testament to the team and the wonderful time she had at nursery everyday. Its also great to the see the food she is exposed to at such a young age, it was one of the main reasons we chose The Old Forge.
Emilia has come one leaps and bounds since starting at The Old Forge. The Pre-School team have been outstanding (as have all the rooms). Iwan leads the room superbly and Emilia always comes home happy, talkative and shares what she’s been doing every day. Every day is structed and tasks are creative, academic and fun. Louise is fantastic and always goes above and beyond. As a teacher myself, I couldn’t wish to send my child to a better nursery. We couldn’t be any happier with all that they do every day.
I think the quality of care given by all staff is exceptional, every member of staff I have come into contact with treats my child like their own. They’re all fab!
The Pre-School team are amazing!! Especially Hayley and Beth. When Isla was in Little Bears she was attached to April, Lottie the manager has always been very informative and answered my questions as soon as possible. The staff and the food is great, homely environment for Isla. Isla also loves having the animals in preschool room and the rabbits outside
Eric started here after Christmas and I was very nervous to leave him within a setting. I cannot thank all the girls enough for making, not Eric but myself and my mum welcome also, the staff always greet you with a smile and have mountains to tell you about what they have been up to, daily photos are great and he comes home in different clothes most days which is brilliant because I know he’s been involved and having fun!
The food is outstanding and all made from scratch, he has better meals than me and the outdoor forest school is just the best! If you are looking for somewhere to bring your children I can’t recommend enough. The small homely vibe is definitely for us.
I can’t recommend The Old Vicarage Nursery enough!
The staff here are absolutely wonderful—so caring, attentive, and always providing excellent updates on my child’s progress. They truly go above and beyond to make sure every child feels valued and supported. I love how they organize creative and fun messy play activities every day, allowing the children to explore and have fun in the best ways possible.
The meals are also top-notch—high-quality, delicious, and nutritious, and I had the chance to sample them during one of their open days. It was so reassuring to know that my daughter is getting healthy and tasty meals!
Most importantly, my daughter has so much fun here, and I can see her learning and growing every day. The Old Vicarage is a fantastic place for any child to thrive!
I just wanted to make you guys aware of what a total star Elena was yesterday! I collected B from Bear Cubs mid morning after her being off for nearly a week with illness and I was a bit of an emotional mess! I felt so guilty for trying to send her back too soon and also work/life had got on top of us a little whilst we’d been juggling her being off sick!
Anyway Elena was so so kind and empathetic, she gave me a hug and said some really kind words. It makes me so happy B is growing up around such kind and compassionate ladies and so I just wanted to make sure management were aware of her lovely actions yesterday and how much we appreciate her (and the rest of the team of course!)
Working for The Old Vicarage is delightful, the atmosphere is so cosy and the building itself gives a real home-from-home feel. All the staff have a passion and are always thinking of new exciting activities for the children. Mentors and Managers provide constant support and offer a wide range of training to expand knowledge.
I just love the way the staff build a relationship with my daughter and also help settle any anxiety when my little girl started. As my daughter was a lockdown baby, they really helped me to get my daughter settled in. I love the homely and friendly environment they have created. Love the way they nurture my daughter’s development and build new skills.
Working at The Old Vicarage has been an amazing experience so far. As an apprentice I feel so supported with my college work and I have the confidence to reach for a distinction. I have learnt so much and it has given me the self belief that I can reach any goal if I put my mind to it. All the staff are amazing and create a great homely, fun and exciting environment for the children, with loads of brilliant ideas for their development. This opportunity has made me use amazing creativity and imagination and I can’t wait to see what’s to come.
Brilliant nursery. Staff are fantastic and very nurturing. My child has settled in really well and due to the sensitivity and care the staff provide. The outdoor area is fantastic and provides lots of learning opportunities. The food is exceptional, and the nursery is just all round fabulous!
My son loves it here. The staff are super friendly and generally the nursery has a really good system with the Famly app. This keeps us up to date throughout the day and allows us to easily communicate with the nursery. The previous nursery we tried didn’t have this system and didn’t feel very comfortable as parents.
Our little one has been here for three months now and has absolutely thrived. The staff were super supportive when first starting, they communicate well with parents (with regular updates via the app) and they are managing the transition between rooms really well. They take the children outside every day (even in December!) and we’re sure this has been a huge contributing factor in our child’s burgeoning sense of adventure. The variety of food the kitchen team produce is fantastic and is giving our toddler a chance to experience lots of new tastes. We have been really pleased with the quality of care here and would definitely recommend The Old Forge.
The old forge is a fantastic nursery. My son has done 7 months in bear cubs and I could not think of a single improvement. The staff are caring and take time to get to know the children. They do amazing activities and the food is excellent. The nursery has an excellent management team who are always striving to improve and listen to feedback. The food is excellent.
The Old Forge is a friendly and welcoming nursery. My son has been attending since he was 1 and has absolutely loved it. The staff are all lovely and the activities and forest school experiences they offer are of a high standard. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.
We cannot rate the nursery high enough – our daughter started full time when she was 8 months old and the teams have supported so much of her development. Our daughter has also built strong bonds with many members of staff which is so special to see, especially given how much time she spends there. One of our favourite parts about the nursery is the menu they offer – they really helped our weaning journey and our daughter has such a diverse palette all thanks to the meals the nursery provide.

My little boy has been coming here since he was 11 months old and has been in both of the under 2s rooms and now in the little bears room (toddler)! They have helped him so much with his development and are always there for a chat when you need too regarding child’s development or home life anything needed! The activities that my little one does are fantastic and he often comes home with so from of artwork! He always eats the fantastic food on offer often having seconds on his portion! I can’t suggest beeches park enough to expecting parents and new parents so get your child’s name down now! They will always come out smiling I’m sure!
We absolutely love Beeches Park Day Nursery! We took our time to find the best place for our daughter to go to, and this nursery stood out from the rest! Our daughter loves going to nursery and adores all the staff who take care of her. We think the activities, meals and routines that the children receive are great and our little one shows us a lot of what she’s learnt at home too! The amount of care and encouragement our daughter receives is truly amazing and we genuinely feel like the staff treat each child as their own, which is such a reassuring feeling as parents. The app that the nursery updates regularly with photos, meals, observations and other information also provides a lot of reassurance that your child is happy and healthy and having a blast! Highly Recommend this nursery. From the moment I found out I was expecting I was informed by some friends that I should get my child booked into Beeches Park due to limited spaces. I was shown around the nursery with the manager who was very friendly and and answered all of my questions. The nursery has a lovely atmosphere with spacious rooms and a lovely outdoor area for the under 2’s and over 2’s with an urban forest school and fire pit. The use of electric mini bus was also a big bonus – My child has been on numerous trips with one being to the local garden centre. The staff and management are very friendly and children are at the heart of the nursery highly recommend
We moved house, meaning my child had to start a new nursery. I was very nervous that he would not adapt well, but I can honestly say Beeches Park has been brilliant. Not only has he settled brilliantly, but he has also developed so well and is constantly surprising me every day with new skills he has learnt while at nursery. On top of this, my child was a fussy eater before starting this nursery, and since attending here, he now eats a huge variety of food. The staff are great, they provide me with lots of feedback on how my child is getting on each day and ensure that I feel comfortable to ask any question I may have. Most importantly, my child has made great relationships with the staff at the nursery and will often talk about them and looks forward to attending each day.
My son has attended Beeches Park Day Nursery since he was 13 months old, and it was the best decision I made. When I was reviewing nurseries, I was impressed by the open and welcoming nature of all the staff. They have watched and helped him grow, as he has moved through all the rooms.
The team is extremely friendly, and my extended family have also forged relationships with the people who have cared for and nurtured him for the past two years. They are communicative, open minded, forward thinking and you can see they genuinely love what they do and the children they care for. My son often asks to attend the nursery on weekends, and his face lights up when we talk about his day and the friends he has made there.
I would highly recommend Beeches to any parent who is looking for an establishment that takes pride in educating and looking after children to the best of their abilities.

We’ve had a lot of experience with nurseries with our eldest first in them and now our youngest.
Beeches Nursery is first class, we travel across the other side of town to take him because they are just fantastic, and he loves every day with them.
We get daily updates and high-quality photos from all his activities and experiences. This is our 6th nursery and by far the best!!!

I clearly thought an earlier start at another setting would help but the settle session didn’t go well at all and absolutely nothing like the amazing experience I’ve had so far with yourselves!
When my child started nursery it was really hard for him to stay without his mum. The girls from there are really professionals and they spent time with him, cuddle him and stay with him in their arms the whole day whenever he felt it was needed. After a week he was going there with happiness and coming back home happy.
They asked from the beginning what he likes, we went for 3 days in order to accommodate and observed what he likes to play with. My kid only knew Romanian when he started the nursery, now after 5 months, he can talk with the girls in English. He is learning new things every day and he loves to be there. I really recommend them.
My daughter has been in baby bears since January and has just flourished. she is always so happy to go to nursery and always seem so smiley on all the updates we get. all the staff in the nursery and the baby room are all so friendly and helpful.
Sam, Megan, libby and Lucy have been fantastic and so caring and helpful. I found it hard her starting nursery as I was so unfamiliar with the nursery but they eased my anxiety so much and I know she’s in the best hands while I’m at work. keep up the amazing work.
Our little one has been at Beeches Park Day Nursery since he was 15 months old. Beeches Park have contributed massively to his development & ultimately, the little boy that he is today. He’s polite, has learned how to tidy up after himself, shares & eats his meals with cutlery.
People often comment on how well he can talk and communicate in a confident manner. We owe a lot of thanks to the amazing people at Beeches Park for encouraging & enhancing these key stages in his development.
The staff are genuinely kind and caring. He loves to tell me all about his day when I pick him up & he happily & excitedly walks into nursery which is a huge relief as a parent, knowing that your child is somewhere that he feels safe & loved.
It’s a brilliant place to ensure your little one is cared for. I was like most parents really nervous about leaving my little boy to go back to work but the nursery staff are brilliant. The food is way better than I can make all incredibly healthy. They’ll stick to whatever routine you want especially when they’re little this is helpful.
I love that they’re outside all the time in the forest school getting plenty of fresh air. They even have tea on the campfire out there. The nursery does regular development reviews on the children which is very helpful.
I can’t recommend this nursery enough. Both of my children started at babies and have gone up through pre- school. The facilities are great, it’s clean and you get photos through very regularly via the app. You always get a great handover from staff and through parents evenings.
We have known many of the staff at the old forge but the ones in particular who have been brilliant are Louise, Chelsie and Amy in management, Hazel who always answers any questions promptly! Megan is fantastic especially with special needs. Ellie, Suzie, kirsty, Georgia, Ashleigh, Becky, jo, Emma, Nicky, Ali, Iwan and Jenny are amazing. (Ali, Jenny and Iwan always have a lot of time for you and currently look after my little boy). I feel very comfortable in sending my children there. The meals are also the best- cooked on site and very healthy. The animals also that they have, give an extra touch.
