We are a fun, loving, creative bunch at The DEN Nursery Group, with boundless energy and an incredibly professional and conscientious approach to all aspects of our work. We are one big happy team and enjoy close and supportive relationships with each other.

With the right people, in the right places

Each setting has a clear chain of report with a Room Leader directly responsible for each age group, as well as a Deputy Manager, Manager and Operations Director all assisting in the overall smooth running of the nursery.

We benefit greatly from the high level of qualifications throughout the team, including qualified Primary School Teachers and degree educated leadership. All staff hold up-to-date: DBS checks, paediatric first aid, food hygiene and safeguarding training as standard.

Most importantly, we love and care for all the children as if they were our own, and we use our advanced knowledge, skills and experience to ensure that they get the best possible start in their early years.

Supporting, developing and growing

We have our own in-house Training Co-ordinator within our nursery group who oversees the constant development of our staff. Many of our staff take advantage of this enhanced support to continue their education through Early Years qualifications to degrees in childcare.

Our staff have access to on-site well-being officers who help support them both professionally and personally and they also have a corporate membership to a local Health Club for their physical well-being.

This level of care and support means we have a very high retention of staff at our setting, which gives you greater peace of mind knowing that your child will be with people that they know and are comfortable with.

Creating an environment where people matter

Many of our sites have male practitioners, mature staff, and all have apprentices at various stages of qualification. This diversity creates a wonderfully supportive atmosphere and a wealth of knowledge on which to draw.

Throughout the year our staff take part in various team building events, many supporting local or national charities, regular updates can be found on the News section of our website. We have also appeared on ITV News speaking about the valued men in our work place.
