Meet Zoe who is at the heart of Beeches Park kitchen

If you’ve ever wondered where all the delicious smells at Beeches Park Children’s Day Nursery come from… it’s probably Zoe’s kitchen!

With a heart full of care and a spoon in hand, Zoe is the one making sure every child has a full tummy and a big smile.

Zoe cooks everything from scratch, yes, we really do mean everything! Whether it’s comforting cottage pie, a classic curry or The DEN Nursery Group’s legendary homemade soups, Zoe whips up each meal with precision, care and a pinch of magic.

No frozen meals just fresh ingredients and generous portions that keep our little ones fuelled for their big days of play and learning.

Zoe is not just our cook, she’s our go to Superhero. 

When plans change last minute (as they often do in nursery life!). New allergy? or a picnic surprise for the children, Zoe’s got it covered, without breaking a sweat. She’s always ready with a plan, a smile, and something tasty up her sleeve, Zoe knows every child’s allergy and intolerance like the back of her hand.

And when it’s time for special occasions Zoe will rustle up some fabulous, themed lunches and teas as well as beautiful refreshments for nursery celebrations, Zoe brings flair and fun to every event. There’s always something extra special on the table when Zoe’s involved.

“No one likes to feel different. Safe, yummy, [food] and equal to their friends!.” Say’s Zoe on making sure children with allergies are treated the same as their friends.

For children with allergies or intolerances, Zoe goes above and beyond. She carefully creates safe, balanced meals that look just like everyone else’s. so, every child feels included and cared for no matter their allergies. It’s thoughtful touches like these that make Zoe such an integral part of Beeches Park Day nursery.

And did we mention the cakes? Beautiful bakes with hidden veggies in EVERY pudding! Carrot, courgette, even beetroot. Zoe sneaks them in so cleverly, you’d never know. Wholesome treats that every child loves!

A quick chat with Zoe 

Q: What do you love most about your job?
Zoe: The kids, absolutely! There’s nothing better than seeing them enjoy their food and asking for seconds!

Q: How do you manage when things change at the last minute?
Zoe: I stay flexible and just roll with it! You must in a busy nursery. I’ve got lots of tricks for quick swaps and new ideas.

Q: Any top tips for getting kids to eat their veg?
Zoe: Hide it in cakes! (laughs) And sauces, stews, anything really. Make it tasty and they’ll never notice.

Q: How do you make allergy-friendly meals feel special?
Zoe: I make sure they look just like the others no one likes to feel different. Safe, yummy, and equal to their friends!

Q: What’s your favourite thing to cook for the children?
Zoe: Everything! There isn’t one thing I don’t enjoy making for the children and knowing that nutritionally I’m giving them the very best start in life bring me so much joy.
